Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano
- 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley
- 3 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4-6 fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- Combine ground turkey, panko, egg, parmesan, garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Note: Mix with a fork or your hands until just combined to keep the texture light.
- Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in your skillet over medium high heat.
- Shape the mixture into 2 inch balls. You should get about 12 to 16 meatballs.
- Add balls to the pan. Brown for 2-3 minutes per side until a deep golden brown crust forms.
- Pour 24 oz of marinara sauce over the meatballs.
- Turn heat to medium low.
- Simmer gently for 10-12 minutes.

- Stir in fresh basil leaves.
