Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp (25g) brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp (15ml) milk
- 1/4 tsp (1ml) vanilla extract
- 1 pinch (0.5g) fine salt
- 6 tbsp (45g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (30g) mini chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Place the all-purpose flour in a microwave-safe dish. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the flour reaches 160°F (71°C) or smells faintly nutty. Let it cool for 2 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar. Stir vigorously until the mixture is pale, fluffy, and the sugar crystals have mostly dissolved into the fat.
- Stir in the milk, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Gradually fold in the heat-treated flour, stirring until no white streaks remain.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
