Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp (28g) unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tbsp (30g) granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp (8g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 pinch (0.5g) salt
- 1 large (50g) egg
- 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) vanilla extract
- 3 tbsp (25g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp (35g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Melt the butter in a microwave safe mug (minimum 12 oz) for 20 seconds. Note: Be careful not to let it boil over
- Stir in the granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt until a smooth, dark chocolate paste forms.
- Whisk in the egg and vanilla extract vigorously until the batter is glossy and uniform.
- Gently fold in the all purpose flour until just combined. Note: Stop as soon as white streaks disappear to avoid a rubbery texture
- Fold in the semi sweet chocolate chips.
- Microwave on high for 60 seconds until the brownie is puffed and mostly set.
- Let the brownie sit undisturbed for 1 minute to allow the center to set.
