Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
- 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the Panko, Parmesan, beaten egg, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir together to ensure seasonings are evenly distributed.
- Add the ground turkey to the bowl and mix with your hands or a fork just until combined, avoiding over-mixing to maintain a tender texture.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop approximately 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into golf-ball-sized spheres. Place them on the baking sheet ensuring they are not touching.
- Bake for 20 minutes until the exterior is light golden-brown and a meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C) in the center.
