Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the Panko, Parmesan, beaten egg, minced garlic, chopped basil, salt, pepper, and onion powder. Stir together to ensure seasonings are evenly distributed.
  2. Add the ground turkey to the bowl and mix with your hands or a fork just until combined, avoiding over-mixing to maintain a tender texture.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Scoop approximately 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into golf-ball-sized spheres. Place them on the baking sheet ensuring they are not touching.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes until the exterior is light golden-brown and a meat thermometer reads 165°F (74°C) in the center.
