Ingredients

  • Thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • Bell peppers (green and red)
  • Onion
  • Mushrooms (optional)
  • Provolone cheese
  • Cream cheese
  • Eggs
  • Heavy cream

  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Sauté bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and garlic in olive oil until softened. Set aside.
  • In the same pan, cook steak until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • In a bowl, whisk eggs, cream cheese, and heavy cream until smooth.
  • In a casserole dish, layer the cooked vegetables and steak, then pour the egg mixture over it. Top with provolone cheese.

Notes

  • Substitute provolone with mozzarella or American cheese for a different flavor.
  • For a low-carb version, omit the bread or pasta traditionally served with cheesesteaks.
