Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 breaded chicken tenders or cutlets
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese (cut into small rounds)
  • 12 black olive slices (for eyes)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the breaded chicken tenders according to package instructions or until crispy and golden.
  • While the chicken cooks, slice the mozzarella cheese into small rounds to resemble eyes, and cut black olives into thin slices for pupils.
  • Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  • Place one cooked chicken tender on each bun, spoon marinara sauce over the top, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Place the mozzarella rounds on top of the chicken tenders, and add olive slices for "monster eyes."
  • Place the top half of the buns on each slider.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Brush the tops of the buns with the butter mixture.
  • Bake the sliders in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can use homemade or store-bought chicken tenders for this recipe.
  • For extra spookiness, add food coloring to the cheese or sauce to give the sliders a creepy look.
