Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Cooked pasta or crusty bread for serving (optional)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

  • Stir in lemon juice and wine (or broth); cook for another 1–2 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and stir in remaining butter and parsley.

 

  • Serve hot over pasta or with bread.

Notes

  • Substitute wine with chicken broth for a non-alcoholic version.

  • Adjust red pepper flakes for heat preference.
