Creamy Baked Pork Chops are a delicious and comforting dish, featuring juicy, oven-baked pork chops smothered in a rich, creamy sauce made with sour cream and mushrooms. This easy-to-make meal is perfect for busy weeknights or a cozy weekend dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops on both sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sauté onions, mushrooms, and garlic until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in chicken broth, Dijon mustard, sour cream, and heavy cream, cooking until well combined and slightly thickened.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning sauce over them.
  • Transfer skillet to the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until pork chops are fully cooked.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice to soak up the creamy sauce.
