This crack chicken penne recipe is a creamy, cheesy delight loaded with bacon, ranch, and tender chicken. A perfect one-pot meal for busy nights!

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Add chicken broth, heavy cream, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, black pepper, salt, paprika, and onion powder. Stir until smooth.
  • Add shredded chicken and crumbled bacon; mix well.
  • Stir in cooked pasta, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Cook until cheese is melted and sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Add extra broth if the sauce thickens too much.
