Perfect for parties or a quick, sweet indulgence, this recipe is ideal for showcasing fall’s favorite flavors: apples and caramel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or digestive biscuits
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Caramel candies (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook for 5-7 minutes until apples are tender and caramelized. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • In a small bowl, mix vanilla extract with whipped cream. Set aside.
  • To assemble the dessert cups, start by layering the bottom of each cup with crushed graham crackers or biscuits.
  • Spoon the cooked apples over the cookie crumbs, then drizzle caramel sauce generously on top.
  • Add a layer of whipped cream, and repeat the layering process if desired.
  • Garnish with more caramel sauce and caramel candies, if using.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 4 hours before serving.

Notes

  • You can prepare the apple mixture ahead of time and assemble the cups just before serving.
  • Substitute whipped cream with vanilla yogurt or ice cream for variation.
  • For extra crunch, add chopped nuts or granola.
