  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  • Bake the crust for 15-18 minutes, until golden.
  • In another bowl, whisk together brown sugar, maple syrup, eggs, vanilla, and remaining brown butter until smooth.
  • Stir in chopped pecans and pour the filling over the baked crust.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly golden.
  • Cool completely before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use a combination of maple syrup and honey.
  • These bars can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
